Privacy Policy

Information we collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, and order contents in order to fulfill it. When you join our founding list, we collect your name, email, and any phone or social handle you choose to provide. If you join our email list, we collect your email address, the date you agreed, and the page you signed up on. We only email you if you tick the consent box, and every message includes an unsubscribe link. If we use an email service provider to send these messages, it receives your email address for that purpose only. We do not collect or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe (see below).

Cookies

CHIAREL™ uses a single first-party cookie to remember the contents of your shopping cart between visits. It is functional, not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Separately, we may use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to measure how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed, what is added to the bag, and completed orders. It is off by default and loads only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you accept, Google sets analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) and receives your usage data, which may be processed outside your country. We do not use advertising features or share this data for advertising, and the event data we send does not include your name, email, or address. Declining has no effect on your ability to browse or buy. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage, and you can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

How we use your information

• To process and fulfill your order and manage subscriptions.
• To send order confirmations, receipts, and shipping updates.
• To respond to inquiries sent to us directly.
• To improve the products and site — never sold to third parties.

Third parties we work with

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., which receives and secures your card details directly — we never see or store full card numbers. Order and account data is stored in a hosted database used solely to operate this store. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to what we’re required to retain for order, tax, and legal records. To make a request, contact us at hello@chiarel.com.

EU/UK Data Subject Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: order and shipping information to perform our contract with you when you place an order, and any marketing communications you opt into on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

In addition to the rights described above, you have the right to data portability (receiving your data in a structured, commonly used format) and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Some of the services we use to operate this store, including our payment processor and hosting provider, may process data outside the EU/UK; where that happens, it is covered by those providers’ own GDPR-compliant safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). Children’s privacy

CHIAREL™ is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy
